Battalion Chief Mickey Summers was born into a family of firefighters in Gallatin, TN. Chief Summers began his career in the fire service at the age of seventeen with the Sumner County Volunteer Fire Department. In September of 1995, Chief Summers began his professional career with the Gallatin Fire Department as a firefighter.

Chief Summers advanced through the ranks and now oversees the day to day operations of B-Shift and also serves as an Operations Chief of the Sumner County Emergency Management Agency. Chief Summers is married to his wife, Amy. Together they have a son and a daughter, Beau and Olivia.
