Battalion Chief Scott Woodward is a lifelong resident of
Sumner County. Chief Woodward began his career in the fire service in 2008 and
was hired by the Gallatin Fire Department in 2011. As the Battalion Chief of
Training, he is responsible for scheduling and implementing training for the
fire department, managing the recruit academy, and ensuring standards and
objectives continue to be met. Chief Woodward is a nationally registered EMT
and a State certified Fire Instructor and Fire Officer. Chief Woodward received
his Associates Degree in Fire Science from Columbia Southern University. He is
a founding member of the Gallatin Firefighters Benevolent Association, Relay
for Life department representative, and an active community volunteer. Chief
Woodward is married to his wife Gindy and together they have two daughters.
