Update: The body recovered in the debris of the burned barn on Church Street earlier this week has been positively identified as Letitia Lane, the female that was reported missing from Nashville. This has been confirmed through medical records and dental records. This continues to be a joint homicide investigation between the Gallatin Police Department and Metro Nashville Police Department.

March 22, 2018 During a joint investigation between the Gallatin Police Department and the Metro Nashville Police Department, a body has been recovered in the debris of a burned barn off of Church Street in Gallatin. At this time, no positive identification has been made of the remains. However, the Gallatin Police Department and the Metro Nashville Police Department are currently treating the recovery as a joint homicide investigation.
