Gallatin Parks & Recreation Receives Tree Planting Donation

Tree Planting Donation

By Jenna Maddox, Gallatin Parks and Recreation Marketing Manager

GALLATIN, Tenn. — A new local business is taking steps to help keep our parks beautiful.

On September 20, the new Twice Daily convenience store and White Bison Coffee, located on Long Hollow Pike, awarded Gallatin Parks and Recreation $1,500 to plant new trees in the parks. This is in part of the company's "Twice Daily Thrive" Reduced Emissions Program.

Gallatin Parks and Recreation Director David F. Brown said the new trees will most likely be planted throughout Triple Creek Park.

"You know, any donation we appreciate, but this will give us some more trees for Triple Creek Park," Brown said. "Of course, every year, we have a few [trees] that die, so the trees are going to need to be replaced. It'll be just another great addition to Triple Creek Park."

Representatives with Twice Daily and White Bison Coffee said when the parks department decides to plant the trees, they will send volunteers with the company to help with the planting process.

Brown said the department has not yet determined what species of trees will be planted.
