GALLATIN, Tenn. — Batter up! The second season of the Gallatin Miracle League is in full swing.
Over 30 players of all abilities and all ages took to the field on Opening Day, October 8.
"As I've always said, the first time I saw them play, people didn't know whether to cry, to laugh, or what to do," Gallatin Parks and Recreation Director David F. Brown said. "It was so exciting to see kids, with their abilities, to get out there and play with other kids and have buddies."
The Miracle Park opened in May 2021, and the first Gallatin Miracle League season kicked off a year later.
"It's exciting to see that the number of players has grown since last season," Gallatin Parks and Recreation Programs Supervisor Tatum Pryor said. "We hope it grows bigger and better from season to season."
The upcoming dates for the games this season include Saturday, October 22 and Saturday, October 29. The games start at 10 a.m.
While there is no set timeframe for the next Gallatin Miracle League season, Pryor said they are aiming for May 2023.
