The Construction Board of Adjustment & Appeals hears and decides appeals of orders, decisions or determinations made by the Building Official relative to the application and interpretation of the building codes adopted by the City of Gallatin. Applications for appeals should be based on claims that the true intent of the adopted code or any rules adopted thereunder have been incorrectly interpreted, the provisions of the code do not fully apply or an equally good or better form of construction is proposed. The Board has no authority to waive any requirements of the adopted codes.
Applications for appeal should be submitted to the Building Codes Department, 132 West Main Street, Gallatin TN 37066 and must be accompanied by a non-refundable $250 fee..
