Lifeguard Training

American Red Cross Lifeguarding will be held at the Gallatin Civic Center January 29th through May 19th from 5 to 9 p.m. All participants must be at least 15 years of age and able to complete a pre-course swimming test including a 300 yard swim of front crawl and breaststroke, a timed test of swimming to the deep end to pick up a brick off the bottom of the pool, and treading water for two minutes without the use of your hands. Certification is awarded only with successful completion of CPR/AED for the Professional Rescuer and First Aid, as well as a final skill and written test. CPR & AED Training

From February through June the Gallatin Civic Center offers several 2-day CPR/AED Training Sessions. For $75, attendees will gain CPR and AED certifications. Class scheduling depends on interest.
