When you want a heart-pumping, lean body workout, sign up for one of these classes. You are more likely to get a great workout and better results in a group setting. Our Group Fitness minimize the amount of choreography involved, so you can get right into the action without worrying about not being a regular.
Classes are free to full members. Classes are $4 for nonmembers except for the following:
Zumba class: $5
This class will lead you through the basics of yoga. You’ll become familiar with the poses while learning to create balance by linking breath with movement. As a result you’ll feel stretched, strengthened, toned and relaxed.
You’ll start with stretching and warm ups then advance into weight, band and exercise ball work stations. This class is easy to adjust based on your personal fitness level, so everyone can participate and reap the benefits.
This class will guide you through low to high intensity cardio exercises, resistance training and stretching. By the end of the session you will have worked all major and minor muscles groups for a total body workout that will leave you feeling accomplished and energetic.
This is a faster and more challenging version of Basic Yoga. You can expect to build heat quickly with poses that are sequenced to give you the energy you need throughout your day.
Pilates is a floor mat class for all age groups designed to strengthen your core while engaging all other muscles groups in the process. This class adds props like mats, sponge balls, exercise bands and stability balls to further tone your muscles, flatten your tummy and improve your flexibility, balance and posture.
SHINE® Dance Fitness
Is a dance fitness class rooted in such traditional styles such as jazz, hip hop and ballet. SHINE takes fundamental dance moves and creates routines to today’s hit songs that are easy enough for beginners, yet challenging enough for the more seasoned dancer and fitness enthusiast. Moves can be modified for each skill level or age group to fit your our style.
Silver Sneakers Classic®
Have fun and move to the music through a variety of exercises designed to increase muscular strength, range of movement and activity for daily living skills. Hand-held weights, elastic tubing with handles and a ball are offered for resistance, and a chair is used for seated and/or standing support.
Silver Sneakers Yoga®
Move your whole body through a complete series of seated and standing yoga poses. Chair support is offered to safely perform a variety of postures designed to increase flexibility, balance and range of movement. Restorative breathing exercises and a final
relaxation exercise will promote stress reduction and mental clarity.
Tai Chi is a Chinese martial art using slow, fluid movements of the limbs and torso to move life force energy, and is a gentle way to combat stress and anxiety while increasing flexibility and balance.
If you want to increase your energy, gain strength, increase flexibility, tone your muscles and develop coordination, this class is for you. TNT incorporates free weights, steps, jump ropes and bands to deliver a whole-body workout.
