Station Number 2 became the City's 2nd fire station when it was built in 1973. It is the 1st due in response area for neighborhoods such as Kennesaw, Plantation, and Jacob Heights. Station Number 2 narrowly escaped being directly hit by the tornado of April 2006 that toppled cars at the Nissan dealership next door.
