Communities across the country are creating parks where people of all abilities can experience the joy of playing together! Fundraising is underway for Gallatin’s first all-inclusive park located within the city’s Triple Creek Park. This park which they named the Miracle Park will consist of just shy of 6 acres of A.D.A. compliant recreation for those with mobility impairments, special needs and the community as a whole. The Miracle Park will be home to a special ball field, an amazing pedal park and a large playground each equipped with unique features not found in every park . The Miracle Park is designed for those physically unable to play at a typical park facilities. Special features for this park include a wheelchair swing, plenty of ramps, poured in place ball field surfacing with flat bases and hand railings for support just to name a few.

GROUNDBREAKING

Groundbreaking for the Gallatin Miracle Park took place November 26th, 2019 at the site of the planned park within Triple Creek Park. There were tears and laughter, happiness and excitement felt by the crowd in attendance. Fundraising continues, but Gallatin Parks & Recreation moved forward with the project, thanks to a generous loan from the City of Gallatin. Thank you to all who have stepped forward and gave to this special project that impacts so many in our community and Sumner County.
