Gallatin Parks and Recreation aims to inspire a strong feeling of community with more than 50 events every year. To get in on the excitement, explore our upcoming events and mark your calendar for these recurring festivities.

Kids Fishing Derby


Saturday June 9th, Gallatin kids (ages 5-16) may participate in a free fishing derby at Lock 4 Point Park.

Note: Register in advance to receive a goody bag.

Rodeo


In mid-July, the rodeo  comes to town. Festivities are held at Triple Creek Park’s event pavilion.

Pumpkin Splash


The Sunday before Halloween, your K-5th grader can dive for a pumpkin in GCC’s indoor pool. After retrieving his or her pumpkin, pumpkin decorating and swimming begins! The whole family is welcome to participate.

Pawpalooza Pet Festival


This festival is Gallatin's own tribute to pet ownership. Starting off the day with a Fun Walk and then a Pup Strut costume contest. It is a fun day with furry friends, vendors, live music and most of all FUN! All proceeds from this event help improve our Gallatin Dog Park. For information and to register go to ACTIVE.COM

Turkey Run


The first Saturday in November join us for our Turkey Run! This will be a 5K race and a Fun Walk which will raise money for the Miracle Park planned for 6 acres at Triple Creek park. This all-inclusive park will include a ball field, pedal park and playground.  Don't forget there is also a costume contest too.

Christmas Harvest Craft Show


A long time tradition in the city of Gallatin. This craft extravaganza is always held the third Saturday in November, shop and mingle at GCC’s Christmas Harvest Craft Show. It’s a local tradition you don’t want to miss. *New vendors can start submitting their booth applications in mid-August.

Elves Holiday Workshop

 
One Saturday in early December  join the Civic Center Elves for some fun and make a holiday craft to take home and put on your tree! Kids will also receive a doughnut and hot cocoa right before the Gallatin Christmas Parade. The fun starts at 9 a.m. Registration click here.

Letter From Santa


Mid-November through mid-December, your child can sign up to receive a personal letter from Santa! Drop by the GCC to let Santa’s elves know you’d like to join in the fun. Deadline is Monday, Dec.10th, 2018.
